Today was a long day for me and I am so pooped ! I arrived from Portland at 9.30 in the morning and have been in the studio from 11.30 am to 11.oopm. We were tracking tunes for a singer named Arman, he sings in Arabic and fuses Brasilian grooves and melodies with middle eastern lyrics and rhythms. My friend Nabu wrote some of the tunes. We had Walter Rodriguez on drums and percussion and he did an amazing job! It is so nice to be home in my own studio.

Back at the studio
It's the day before christmas and I just woke up! I went to bed at 4.00am this morning after spending several hours in the studio working with Arman, a singer from Armenia who fuses middle eastern vocals with world rhythms. We used Walter Rodriguez on drums, Steve Baxter on trombone, Ken Ross on trumpet, Nabu on keys and arrangements, Grecco Burratto on guitar and yours truly on bass! It is a really fun project and should be completed by early spring.
