Recording session

It is 12.30AM and I am pooped! I've had a busy day. I started the day by going my to buddy, Ken Ross's house to play a couple of tunes on his upcoming CD that is going to be released in Europe this summer. They were fun tunes to play on. One was a Tower of Power influenced Funk tune and the other tune was an Afro-Cuban/Brazilian tune with a twist of R&B! I played the verse on fretless (Bossa OB-6) and the Chorus on my Bossa OB-5.
After my session with Ken I got in my car and drove to Thousand Oaks to Jeff Gibson's house to record some tunes on their upcoming CD. Jeff Gibson and his partner Steve Jackson wrote some funky tunes with gorgeous changes. They are both amazing piano players with gospel roots. It was like going to church! I had a blast playing on their tracks. My fingers are sore! I used my trusty OB-5 on thier session. That instrument is my meat and potatoes bass, I never leave home without it! I'll keep you posted with the release dates on the two Cd's.

Peace
