Pittsburgh

Here we are in Pittsburgh, enjoying another off day! Yeah! I've lost track of time I don't know what day of the week it is or where we are at!!! :-) I think I am ready to go home. I miss my wife and my furry friends! Life on the road can get lonely. The shows have been going very well. We are blessed to have the crew that we have. They are just amazing. Every thing runs like clock work.
My dog Pixie licked the phone last night and it broke my heart. That is how she greets me when I am away! My wife Marita tells her that daddy is on the phone and she would run up to the phone, lick it and say "Hi dad I miss you too"
The view from my room is spectacular, I can see the bridge and downtown from my window.

Ottawa/Canada

We arrived in Ottawa early this morning. Last nights show in Toronto was great! We had a very enthusiastic audience. It was also a memorable day for me as I got to see two musicians who were an inspiration to me when I was growing up, Raja Jalaldeen and Brian Feltman. Raja treated me to lunch at a very good indian restaurant. I got to meet his dog Cosmic who is very cute! I also got to meet Marita's cousin Chamila and her family. Ottawa seems like a beautiful city with many old buildings. I wish we had a little more time to spend in these amazing cities that we go to! Oh well! Long drive to Pittsbug tonight, Hope to catch up on some sleep on tthe bus.
The Al Mckay all stars are hoping to tour Indonesia, Phillipines and Malaysia in March. I am trying to see if we could do a show in Sri lanka. Keeping my fingers crossed

London/canada

Arrived early this morning in London. An off day at last! We had lunch at a little indian restaurant called "Curry in a hurry" The food was amazing! Spent the rest of the afternoon working and practicing in my room. Looking forward to meeting up with a bass player friend of mine in Toronto. His name is Brian Feltman and he was an inspiration to me growing up in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A real fine singer/bass player who used to play with one of the best dance bands in Sri lanka called the Jet liners. I used to watch him play in awe and wish that I could do that oneday!
I am also looking forward to meeting Raja Jalaldeen one of Sri Lanka's finest guitarists who now resides in Toronto. He is taking the day off to hang with me! Should be fun.

Buffalo NY

It is 1.00 am and I am hanging out with my buddy Dan Landrum at the back lounge of the bus. We are on our way to Buffalo to play our 7th gig in a row! It's goign to be an 8 hour drive ! Yikes!!!
The band is holding up very well. Walter is down with the flu and we wish him a speedy recovery. I was able to get this Journal page looking so cool is because of Dan Landrum, He spent sometime with me before the show last night helping me set this page up. He is a "mac genius" and I've learnt a lot about computers from him.
I miss my wife and my furry friends at home! Time to go home now!
