Studio "B" up and running

I call it studio "B". It is my road set up. I set up shop in my room in Detroit as we had a day off and I had Walter bring his drumset. We tracked drums from about 5.00pm to 9.00pm! I'm amazed that we did not get thrown out of the hotel. I am co -producing a CD by Brasilian singer Georgia Barretto. Some tracks needed drums, so I called on my buddy Walter to play on these tunes. What better way to spend an off day! :-) We plan on tracking some more on our next day off in Grand Rapids.

Off day in Minneapolis

Enjoyed our day off, got some work done in my room office! Updating the site, practicing etc. Erika, Zach and I have been playing through jazz standards once a week. Thats been a lot of fun. We played for a couple of hours this morning. Back on the road again tomorrow. Minneapolis is an amazing town but very cold!

Are we there yet!

We've been driving for almost 14 hours and we haven't reached our destination yet!!! Everybody on the bus has woken up. Thanks to bus driver Lance, we were able to get a good nights sleep. Zach bought some very fine Italian coffee in Toronto and we enjoyed some excellent Capuccino this morning. We are on our way to Minneapolis and looking forward to it as we have a day and a half off! Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh! I plan on setting up studio B in my bedroom and getting right to work. Plan on recording some drums and violins.
I missed a gig with my friends"Katia Moraes & Sambaguru" in Santa fe, New Mexico as I am on the road with Mr Y. Haven't played with them in a while and I am looking forward to the next time. I get home on tthe 28th of Feb and leave right back to the Phillipines and Indonesia with the "Al McKay All stars". Looking forward to playing with Al again.
