Thank you Nihal Chandraratne

I'd like to take a moment to thank my friend Nihal Chandraratne. He made a huge impact on my life as a musician.
I had formed a band when I was in high school and we would rehearse at a rehearsal studio by my house. One day we were trying to rehearse an instrumental tune and in walks Nihal! He was the keyboard player in the band that used to rehearse before us. He heard us struggling to get through a tune, playing the wrong harmony and doing everything in correctly. He started helping each one of us right away, showing me the changes on organ and moving to guitar, bass and drums! He took our little band under his wing and showed up at all our rehearsals and at the five gigs we had during the year. Nihal's help was invaluable to me and I want thank him for sharing his time and knowledge and being such an inspiration to me.

Jacksonville/Florida

It is the 24th of February and the 2005 Yanni tour is coming to an end. It has been a long but fun tour! I look forward to going home on Monday. We have been playing to very receptive audiences all over the country and I consider my self very blessed to be playing with such an amazing band.
I will be in LA only for a day and then I will be flying off on the 1st of March to Indonesia with the Al McKay all stars to perform at the Jakarta Jazz Festival! Looking forward to playing with Al.
