Rehearsing with Hammer On!

Hammer on is a band that plays music that cannot be categorised

Mark wade(Trumpet, Hammer Dulcimer)
Bob McMurray (Acoustic guitar, Hammer Dulcimer)
Dan Landrum(Hammer Dulcimer, Percussion)
Randy Clepper(Bazouki, Hammer Dulcimer)

I have spent the last 2 days rehearsing with them, for our show tomorrow in Chattanooga. It's been a blast playing with them. They are very fine musicians and a fun bunch of folks to hang out with. Dan and his wife Angie have opened their house to all of us muso's and have been very hospiatable to us! We are looking forward to tomorrow's performance. We'll be playing at 2.00pm and 10.00pm for "Bandaloop" and a show with just the Hammer On band at 6.30pm. Hope the weather holds up!

Chattanooga celebrations

It is 7.00 am and I just got off the plane in Atlanta/Georgia. I am on a two hour shuttle, on my way to Dan Landrum’s house. Dan, Zachary Carrettin and myself are performing in down town, Chattanooga on Saturday for Chattanooga’s 21st Century celebrations . We will be playing all original music composed by Dan and Zach. The stage is set on a barge on the banks of the river. A dance troupe called "Bandaloop" will be dancing to our music suspended by ropes from a bridge! They are pretty amazing to watch.

The private citizens of Chattanooga, donated millions of dollars to give the riverwalk section a face lift and the town looks pretty amazing with walkways, bridges, parks, a childrens museum and an aquarium. it reminds me of Bilbao spain. They are expecting around 30,000.00 spectators for Saturdays event. We hope and pray for good weather.
