Al Mckay August tour / Italy, Germany, Russia

Getting ready to fly home tomorrow after another incredible little Journey! We flew to Trani, Italy on the 1st of August for our first gig. The venue was fit to be on a postcard. The back drop of the stage was the quaint fishing harbor of Trani full of fishing boats and yachts. I was able to sneak out into the town between our sound check and gig. The town had some very nice shops and I was able to buy Marita a bracelet. We had a crowd of about seven thousand people. They loved the show.

Early next morning we flew to Stuttgart Germany and drove down to Volkach for our gig that night. We tasted wine from their local wineries, amazing! We had an early morning call to Frankfurt as we had to fly out to Moscow for our gig that night. This was my first time in Moscow and I loved it there. We played for the 10th anniversary of a local radio station. What an great party! It was held at the Meridian resort hotel. The food was great and the place was decorated really well. After our concert they had an amazing laser show on the river followed by a spectacular fireworks display. The Russians know how to throw a party! We took a quick drive through town the next morning and I loved all the old architecture. I look forward to visiting again and hopefully spending spending a few days there. There are some great watch companies in Russia, I saw some very elegant watches. Hope to buy one the next time!

We flew into Dusseldorf, Germany yesterday and had the night off! Whew! some rest at last! We will perform in Dusseldorf tonight and fly home tomorrow. It has been raining all afternoon and I hope the rain ceases by show-time. I look forward to going home to Marita and all of our furry friends. I'd like to thank all of you who kept our little Pixie in your prayers. We have good news. Her operation was a success and she comes home today, Yeah!
