Nathan Watts with New Bossa 4 string!

Toshio Setozaki built Nathan Watts a new UJB-4 Bossa bass. I spoke to Nathan a few days ago and he told me that he loves the bass and that it sounds amazing. For those of you who may not know the name, Nathan has been Stevie Wonders bass player in the last 20 some years. He is sooooo funky! One of my favorite Nathan bass lines is on Stevie's "Do I do". Check that bass line out and you'll know what I mean!

Edwin Maldonado Session

Here are some picts from the Edwin Maldonado sessions. All the tracking is done and we are in the midst of mixing his CD. The Cd was produced by my good friend Julio Figueroa. I played bass and engineered all the tracking at our studio.

Robert greenidge in Studio

Here is a pict of Robert Greenidge one of the greatest Pan players on the planet. He came to our studio to try out some mics and I had to have him play on a tune that my buddy Dave Patt and I wrote. He took the song to a whole other level!!! thank you Robert.

Bathiya and Santhoush in LA

I had heard about Bathiya and Santhush, but had never heard their music until a few days when they performed in LA. Marita and I went to see them perform and we were pleasantly surprised! Their music sounded fresh and fun, they combined sinhala lyrics with R&B grooves, hip hop, Indian rhythms and beautiful melodies. They were very nice peopled too and we enjoyed meeting them and the band.

They also had a good band featuring one of my old buddies from Sri Lanka, Malik Seneviratne on guitar. Picts taken in green room at their concert in LA.
